GaymerX, previously GaymerCon, is the first gaming convention with a focus on queer geek culture.
Gaming is the largest entertainment industry, one that is larger than music and film, yet until now, there has never been a safe space for queer geeks and their friends to come together, discuss queer theory in games as a community, and party as one.
GaymerX is that convention - a weekend of fun, socializing, and educational panels in the heart of San Francisco.
Oh yes, there will be parties. We'll have an amazing four artist concert set up on Saturday night for everyone to attend, and don't forget to check GaymerConnect to see what other parties are available! Our Bosses will also be treated to a special Friday night party and DJ set!
Panels and discussions from Bosses of Honor, game industry veterans, and Gaymers just like you - check out some of the panels we’ll have at GaymerX!
We expect lots of Cosplay - if you’re a queer gamer, and you cosplay, you owe it to yourself to bring out your best costume. This is your chance to shine, baby!
At GaymerX, we will bring together the largest group of queer gamers in the world in one place to meet one another, share street passes, and make new friends. Can’t wait till then? Check out GaymerConnect!
GaymerX takes place in Japantown, just minutes from downtown SF - you can either take a cab from the airport, BART to downtown and take a bus to japantown, or teleport here. Whatever works for you. Japantown will be hosting its amazing Nihonmachi Festival (link) during this time, so you’ll also be able to get some good ol’ Japanese home cooking :)
